How to get in when the handles never pop out

You still have a mechanical way in. The Audi fob hides a key blade. There’s a release on the back of the fob, so slide the blade out.

On the driver’s door, look at the handle recess. There’s a small cover on the lower edge. Open that cover, insert the blade, and turn. The door should unlatch.

  1. Put the red clamp on the donor’s positive terminal.
  2. Put the other red clamp on the Q4’s red-capped positive post.
  3. Put the black clamp on the donor’s negative terminal.
  4. Put the other black clamp on the Q4’s marked ground point.
  5. Let the donor idle for about ten minutes before you try the Audi.
  6. Power the Q4. Handles should extend. The MMI should light.
  7. Disconnect in reverse: Q4 ground, donor negative, Q4 positive, donor positive.
