How this works. The charge rate is a 240V / 40A outlet at 9.6 kW continuous, the standard mobile Level 2 setup. Rescue charge is sized to reach your target plus a 15% reserve. This estimates the charge, not the wait: Charge Pro IE does not promise an arrival time, and the independent operator who takes the job confirms their own arrival window with you on the phone.

FAQ

What's a rescue charge?

Just enough kWh to reach the nearest DC fast charger or your home. Typically 2-5 kWh (8-20 miles of range) delivered from a 240V bed outlet at 9.6 kW. That is usually 15 to 30 minutes of charging on scene, and the car drives away under its own power instead of going on a flatbed.

How does a mobile rescue charge work?

The operator arrives with a 240V / 40A outlet that puts out up to 9.6 kW continuously, drawn from the vehicle's own battery pack. They connect via NACS native (Tesla) or with a J1772 / CCS adapter (non-Tesla). Think of it as a mobile Level 2 charger that drives itself to you.

Why not just charge the full battery?

At 9.6 kW, filling a stranded EV from 0% to 80% would take 5 to 8 hours and drain the operator's own pack. A rescue charge gets you to a DC fast charger (150+ kW), where a full refill takes 20 to 30 minutes.

What if I'm at 0% and my car won't wake up?

Different problem. The 12V auxiliary battery powers door unlock + display. When it dies, the car won't respond even if the main battery has charge. Operators carry 12V jump packs, and that is a separate call.

Do you do home charger install too?

No. This is mobile roadside rescue only. For home Level 2 install, panel upgrades, or EV-ready circuits, we refer you to a trusted local installer.
